Thank you for pledging to build a habit of kindness through the #BeKind21 Challenge.

A few years ago, the city of Las Vegas revamped our core values to Kind, Committed and Smart. We listed being kind first since it is our hope that every interaction, action, and success in our city is done with kindness.

When our city experienced tragedy two years ago, it was the kindness from our own community, the nation, and the rest of the world that helped us heal. We’ve been honored to witness the impact that #BeKind21 is having on our neighborhoods and across the globe. Here’s a message from some of our youth on why you should participate!

Whether your acts are small or large, please continue to display kindness to yourself, community, and planet beyond these 21 days. It takes each and every one of us to cultivate a culture of kindness.

Your kindness challenge today: Be kind to your community. Pick up litter, buy a cup of coffee for the person behind you, hold open the door as you enter a building, smile at a stranger, just show kindness, and watch how quickly it comes back to you.
