At People’s Pottery Project, our mission is to employ and empower formerly incarcerated women, trans, and non-binary individuals through paid job training, access to a healing community, and meaningful employment in our collective non-profit ceramics business.
If you’re interested in volunteering with us and know about ceramics, we welcome you. If you do not know about ceramics, we would still love your volunteer help, too! You can email us at [email protected] or you can send us a direct message through Facebook or Instagram.
Have you ever felt so down and hopeless? Have you ever questioned your identity and continued being confused? Have you ever been in situations where you felt lost and alone, yet you cannot talk to anyone because you are so worried about how your words would be interpreted or being judged?
Well, we at People’s Pottery Project are here to tell you that what you experiencing is real and valid. You are not the only one in the world. What you are actually experiencing is normal. We have all been where you are and felt all the things that you are feeling. You are dealing with life on life’s terms.
The only advice I can offer is that you do not have to go through life trying to navigate alone. There are people who are trained to help people like us in these situations. Never think that something is wrong with you. You are entitled to your feelings and how you cope.
If you need help in understanding or finding new coping skills to help empower you reach out to the nearest mental health, spiritual guide, life coach, or find someone that you trust and talk to them. You do not have to do this alone.
