I founded Heartfelt Healing after caring for my father during his battle with stage 4 cancer. Following his passing on Christmas Day in 2021, I began developing a program centered on providing comfort to patients and families experiencing long-term illness and loss.
Heartfelt Healing operates as a teen-driven nonprofit initiative that brings together young volunteers who share a passion for service, empathy, and community impact. Our primary focus is creating and distributing personalized mental health care packages for patients and families in hospitals and long-term care facilities. Each package is carefully assembled and includes comforting items, uplifting messages, and supportive resources designed to offer emotional reassurance and hope during difficult times. Our approach centers on shared experiences, peer connection, and compassion, allowing teens to connect authentically with those who are struggling. By encouraging young people to lead service efforts, Heartfelt Healing empowers teens to become active changemakers in their communities.
Working alongside my family, friends, and dedicated volunteers, I coordinate fundraising efforts, community outreach, and partnerships with local organizations and medical facilities. I oversee the planning, assembly, and delivery of care packages, including regular distributions to Natividad Medical Center. Through this hands-on leadership, I have developed strong skills in organization, communication, teamwork, and advocacy. More importantly, I have witnessed firsthand the profound emotional impact that support and compassion can have on patients and families facing long-term illness and loss. Even small acts of kindness can bring comfort, hope, and a sense of connection during some of life’s most challenging moments.
Heartfelt Healing is guided by the belief of being “by teens, for teens,” ensuring that youth voices, experiences, and leadership remain at the center of our mission. Our organization provides teens with meaningful opportunities to give back, develop empathy, and strengthen their emotional awareness while serving others. By engaging students in volunteerism, we foster a culture of compassion, resilience, and community responsibility. Our volunteers are not only creating care packages but also building emotional connections that remind recipients they are seen, valued, and supported.
Heartfelt Healing is fiscally sponsored by Hack Club, a national organization that supports youth-led projects and initiatives. This partnership allows us to operate responsibly, expand our reach, and manage donations transparently. Through fiscal sponsorship, we are able to focus on strengthening our programs, increasing the number of families we serve, and developing new wellness initiatives to support teen mental health.
Through Heartfelt Healing, I strive to create a lasting impact by spreading kindness, fostering emotional support, and building a strong sense of community. Our mission is rooted in compassion, empathy, and service, and we remain committed to reminding individuals and families that they are never alone. By empowering teens to lead with heart and purpose, Heartfelt Healing continues to grow as a source of hope, comfort, and healing.
