The Stephen J. Wampler Foundation, run by Stephen and Elizabeth Wampler, launched Camp Wamp in 2002. Camp Wamp is a summer camp that invites young people with physical disabilities between ages 10 and 18 to Deer Lake in Soda Springs, California for a summer they’ll never forget.

Through Zoom, 10-year-old kid reporter, Parker, had a conversation with Steve and Elizabeth Wampler about Camp Wamp, Steve’s journey to the top of El Capitan, and how to better support young people with disabilities.
