My New Year’s Resolution

We often use the beginning of a new year to start fresh. So I want to start this note by sharing that you are wonderful just the way you are, and I hope that you are gentle with yourself as you set goals for 2020.

Recently, my daughter sat down with Oprah Winfrey to talk about the power of kindness, gratitude, and working on your own wellness at Oprah’s 2020 Vision Tour. They were open and vulnerable about their struggles, connecting with each other and everyone in that room about the effort they put in to live bravely and heal. Here are my daughter and Oprah’s 2020 intentions that you can use for inspiration as you set yours:

At the event, Oprah said, “intentions help you examine the why behind the why.” So in 2020, our Born This Way Foundation community will set specific intentions to continue to make the world a kinder, braver place that supports young people and prioritizes mental wellness. My personal intention is to spread love and kindness in every action, word, and deed to remind everyone that they have someone to turn to.

Now we want to hear from you. How will you set kind intentions in 2020? How will you prioritize your own wellness? Share with us online and tag @ChannelKindness.

Your kindness will heal the world.
