Today’s #BeKind21 message is brought to you by our partners at UNESCO MGIEP.

UNESCO MGIEP has recently launched #KindnessMatters, a global campaign which aims to create a culture of peace, promote kindness, and highlight the power of Acts of Kindness in bringing about change. The purpose of #KindnessMatters is to mobilize the world’s youth to achieve the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through transformative acts of kindness.

Together, we will:

  1. Create a positive culture of kindness, showing how it can help to achieve the SDGs,
  2. Provide a comprehensive, independent, fun, and engaging pathway for youth to demonstrate how an act of kindness is a non-trivial task,
  3. And show that being kind is “cool”.

The #KindnessMatters campaign also aims to identify unsung heroes who are doing amazing path-breaking work to achieve the SDGs. We will provide them global exposure and build their capacities through a series of events we have planned this year. The campaign specifically targets young people aged 15-35 to achieve the SDGs through their acts of kindness.
