#CHANNELKINDNESS4PRIDE PLAYLIST

June 20, 2018

In the words of our co-founder Lady Gaga, “You were Born This Way, baby!”  To help celebrate Pride Month (and to get your Pride festivities started right), our Reporters have helped curate a playlist that will have you #LIVING! Check them out below, and hear the full playlist on Spotify!

Born This Way by Lady Gaga

Call us biased here at Born This Way Foundation, but like any great Pride celebration — we can’t get this party started to celebrate who we are until “Born This Way” plays!

Colour by MNEK ft. Hailee Steinfeld

Two words:  Pride Anthem.

My! My! My! By Troye Sivan

This song was already going to be a Pride anthem, but then Troye released the video.  Featuring some fierce runway walking and incredible lewks, this song will be played at parades for years to come.

Soldier by Trixie Mattel

Everyone, we need to take a moment from fighting over whether Shangela should have made it to the top in All Stars 3 of Drag Race, and take a listen to Trixie’s gorgeous “Soldier.”  “You’ve got time to grow / Oh soldier, take your time / No one said the words all have to rhyme, and if they do it’s fine / And even if they don’t, no one needs to know.”

I Wanna Dance With Somebody by Whitney Houston

LEGEND.

She Keeps Me Warm by Mary Lambert

Parades not for you?  Cozy up to your loved one on a comfy couch with some nice coffee and let this song serve as the soundtrack.

High Horse by Kacey Musgraves

Girl.  Can we talk for a second?  Brilliant country artist Kacey Musgraves went and made the pop song of the summer.  We’re here for it.

Supermodel by RuPaul

RuPaul is a trailblazer, icon, and artist — those are facts.  And to quote Monique Heart from Drag Race Season 10, “facts are facts, America.”

Closer by Tegan and Sara

Pop perfection.  We have a challenge: try not to dance around your room while playing this song.

Dancing by Kylie Minogue

SPEAKING OF DANCING, we’ll close this list out with the one, the only, Kylie Minogue — serving sparkling country diva glamour in the video and song for “Dancing.”  If you need me, I’ll be bedazzling my guitar like hers.
