Our co-founder and president Cynthia Germanotta joined the third session of The Global Classroom which was held in partnership with WHO and Scarisbrick Hall and themed “One Global Mind.” The Global Classroom event aimed “to inspire and unify global thought and to promote and strengthen the wellbeing of everyone in our global community” and featured wellness leaders and advocates, including: Heather Small, Andrew Brennen, Dr. Tierney Thys, and Bear Grylls OBE.
From encouragement to exercise as regulation for stress to information on how mental health is impacted by waves of new information, there was a collective sense of care for our global community from each of the guests and the young people with whom they spoke. Cynthia opened up the conversation by sharing that “there is no health without mental health” and closed with a call to action to “always be kind to yourself and others .. and find that someone to turn to for your mental health now” rather than waiting for problems to arise before seeking support.
