On this episode of Channel Kindness Radio, I had the pleasure of talking to Eva Maria Lewis – a writer, activist builder, and founder of Free Root Operation, a nonprofit organization that intercepts poverty-induced gun violence by investing in the healing and empowerment of Black and Brown communities.

Through FRO, Eva Maria has been able to team up with schools to support students mentally and emotionally, help provide food to 543 families (approximately 3,000 people), and empower her community of Chicago. Follow along as Eva Maria and I discuss why she started FRO as a teen, being a college student in the middle of COVID, and how to advocate for yourself and others!
