#BeKind21: Create Opportunities

Today’s #BeKind21 message is brought to you by our partners at Save The Music.

Sometimes, life truly comes full circle. Meet Cesar Gonzalez. Save The Music donated a band grant to his middle school in Trenton, NJ. Because of this opportunity, he was able to learn how to play the saxophone. He excelled in the music program through high school where he was section leader in the orchestra and drum major of the marching band. In addition, he got to travel to places like Italy to perform with an ensemble.

We are proud to share that Cesar is now attending The College of New Jersey to become a music teacher! This summer, we were also thrilled to onboard him as an intern for Save The Music. Cesar says: “Music has propelled me to higher heights that I never thought I was going to accomplish just as some Trenton kid.”

Your kindness challenge today: Reflect on how you can meet someone in your community with an opportunity. Cesar’s chance at developing a love for and skill in music changed his life. You have the power to change someone else’s. #MusicSaves
