Help Inspire The World

June 05, 2020

As a member of our Born This Way Foundation community, you know that we had a very full Mental Health Awareness Month. We partnered with Jack.org to highlight their life-saving BeThere.org tool using our initiative #BeKindBeThere. Our Maya Smith hosted a Town Hall on Instagram LIVE featuring leaders across sectors who answered the question “How are you making sure to take care of yourself as you serve others?” And perhaps most importantly, we hosted a series of conversations about mental health in diverse communities, sharing specific resources and insights for support. What was so powerful about our convenings is that they didn’t serve as an educational tool, but rather as an opportunity for our amazing panelists, team members, and participants at home to be together in community. We shared wisdom as we explored what it means to support our people and ourselves. Click here to check out all of the conversations!

Although we have much to celebrate, we know the world is hurting. We’re proud of our co-founder, Lady Gaga, for highlighting racial justice organizations you can support and we encourage you to read this Channel Kindness note from me on Pride and solidarity.

I invite you to share your story on Channel Kindness as well. We need your voice and the stories of hope you can bring to inspire our global community. Click here to join us on Thursday, June 11 at 3 pm ET for our Channel Kindness 101 virtual classroom so you can learn how to become a Channel Kindness Reporter.

Stay tuned for more updates and click here to join us on Thursday.
