At Born This Way Foundation, our mission has always been as simple as it is massive: to help empower young people to build a kinder, braver world. Through our work, it’s been proven over and over again that kindness is not only a “nice to have,” but it is often life-changing and life-saving for young people. That is why we are proud to share with you that we are now inviting young people – and people young at heart – to learn about how they can share their stories of kindness, resilience, and compassion to inspire the world and give much-needed hope to anyone that comes to us needing it.

We invite you to join our virtual classroom next Tuesday on how you can become a volunteer Channel Kindness Reporter and have your stories featured on our platform, ChannelKindness.org. One of the most powerful things we can do right now is to share our stories, and we want to give you and those in your network the space to feel empowered, heard. Channel Kindness is Born This Way Foundation’s storytelling platform that invites the public to share their stories about all the people, organizations, and communities that are being kind, being brave, and making a difference in the world.

And be sure to check out what our alumni of Reporters had to say about Channel Kindness here:

“Channel Kindness has impacted me in immeasurable ways. Not only did it provide me with a platform to share my voice with others, but it also allowed me to highlight everyday kind acts I spotted throughout my community. Oftentimes the news can feel overwhelming but at Channel Kindness we want folks to read and feel at peace. Channel Kindness empowered me to be the individual I am today, and it provided me the opportunity to connect with others who strive to make the world a kinder and braver place.” – Juan

“After being immersed in talk about kindness, courage, and positive change for a year, I am more apt to recognize kindness, no matter how small, in the world around me. I feel kindness in a way that I haven’t felt before. I’ve always believed that kindness is transformative, and my involvement with Channel Kindness has only solidified that belief.” – Tia

“For me, Channel Kindness was far more than just a program. It was an opportunity to challenge myself to dig deep both within myself and within my community to discover the kindness that I knew existed, but couldn’t yet see. Channel Kindness gave me the tools I needed to amplify the voices of those that we need to hear from the most, and it gave me the inspiration I needed to find my own.” – Josh

“From my experiences as a Channel Kindness Reporter, from the interviews I’ve conducted, events I’ve covered, among other outlets, I learned the value of positive acts in our world. One does not need hefty funding, lots of bodies, or even an elaborate plan to make positive contributions to society.  Instead, all it takes is the instigation of one seemingly small idea that will eventually result in a ripple effect of kindness.” – Perri
